Mandel Communications, Inc. Privacy Policy

This website, mandel.com, is administered by Mandel Communications, Inc. (“Mandel”, “us”, or “we”).  Mandel values the privacy of those who provide private personal information to us.  The primary purpose of mandel.com is to be an informative resource about Mandel’s communications skills courses and services.  We want you to feel secure when visiting our site, and we are committed to maintaining your privacy when doing so.  This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) summarizes what personally identifiable information we may collect, how we might use this information, and how we strive to protect your privacy during your visit.

What information do we gather?

Information on mandel.com is gathered in two ways: (1) indirectly (for example, through our site’s technology); and (2) directly (for example, when you provide information on various pages of mandel.com).

One example of information we collect indirectly is through our Internet access logs. When you access mandel.com, your Internet address and domain are automatically collected and placed in our Internet access logs. We collect information directly from you in a number of ways, some of which we describe in this Policy.  This information is used to improve our website and better meet customer needs.  For example, we automatically collect information regarding type of computer and operating system you are using. This information is supplied to us by your browser.

In addition, we also collect information indirectly through the use of cookies. Cookies are small files of information which save and retrieve information about your visit to mandel.com (for example, how you entered our site, how you navigated through the site, what information was of interest to you, and how long you are spending on the site). Additionally, some of our web pages may contain "cookies," which are data that may be sent to your web browser and stored on your computer. This allows our server to "recognize" you when you visit our website in the future and enables you to view protected content without requiring an additional login, password, or re-registration. The cookies we use identify you merely as a number. (If you are uncomfortable regarding cookies use, please keep in mind you can disable cookies on your computer by changing the settings in preferences or options menu in your browser.  If you prefer to not accept a cookie upon registration, you will be required to register each time you request access to protected content on our website.)

The use of cookies by our partners, affiliates, tracking utility company, and service providers is not covered by this Policy. We do not have access or control over these cookies. Our partners, affiliates, tracking utility company, and service providers use session ID cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our site.

There are times when we request that you voluntarily supply us with personal information, including your name, title, company name, email address, and possibly phone number and your company postal address, such as: requesting to download white papers and articles; registering for workshops and online webinars; receiving workshop participant pre- and post-workshop materials and reinforcement content; submitting questions or comments; and/or participating in an online survey.

In addition, Mandel clients may provide information about their individual employees and/or contractors who might be enrolled to attend a Mandel training session.  In such cases, Mandel collects information under the direction of its clients, and has no direct relationship with the individuals whose personal data Mandel processes.  If you are an employee or contractor of one of our clients, and you would no longer like to be contacted by Mandel on behalf of our client, please contact the Mandel client (your employer, if you are an employee, or your client, if you are a contractor), to inform the company of your option to not participate in Mandel’s services in this way.  In addition, if you believe that any information the Mandel client provided to Mandel on your behalf is incorrect, inaccurate, or incomplete, please notify the Mandel client, who will contact us to remove, update, or correct the information, and we will do so within thirty (30) days following receipt of the written request from the Mandel client.

Mandel may transfer personal information to individuals or companies that help us provide our service. Transfers to subsequent third parties are covered by the provisions in this Policy regarding notice and choice and the service agreements with our clients

Mandel will retain personal data we process on behalf of our clients for as long as needed to provide services to our client. Mandel will retain and use this personal information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
