Steve began Mandel Communications in 1983. He is a renowned presentations trainer and coach and the author of the highly-successful book, "Effective Presentation Skills." In addition to serving as a key Mandel company executive, Steve thrives on working directly with clients in one-on-one coaching and group workshop settings. He has a deep appreciation for the communication challenges faced by professionals and executives in high-stakes settings and works exceptionally well with mission-critical communication needs. Steve's business success and his avocation as an accomplished amateur astronomer have earned him special recognition in Forbes magazine.
Ed has been a leader with Mandel Communications since 1997. He is responsible for the company’s planning and global performance and works closely with Mandel clients as a trusted advisor and executive coach. Ed began his career with IBM, where he became a top-ranked computer systems sales professional and sales manager. Ed left IBM to become a co-founder and the EVP of Deltak, Inc., which become one of the first highly successful, global IT technical training companies (now Skillsoft). Deltak grew rapidly to train and support thousands of IT client organizations in corporations around the world. Subsequently, Ed served for many years as the CEO of Zenger-Miller, Inc. (now Achieve Global), a large and premier management development company with hundreds of client corporations worldwide. He is the co-author of three books on team effectiveness and is a sought-after speaker and advisor.
With over 20 years’ experience in the training and development industry, Diane plays an important leadership role, serving on Mandel's Executive Leadership and Strategic Planning Teams. As global head of learning design and client experience, Diane and her teams have been at the forefront of Mandel’s AI-driven mobile and semi-synchronous online strategies, which reinforce and complete Mandel’s award winning suite of live training solutions, both in-person and virtual.
Diane and the Learning Design team assess, consult with, and support hundreds of clients based in the U.S. and throughout the world to design training that delivers business results. Her Client Experience team then delivers the training in the way that best supports learners and drives true behavior change — all the while never taking their eyes off the user experience.
Before joining Mandel, Diane spent 17 years with Zenger-Miller and then with AchieveGlobal. Diane served as the Executive Director, Global Sales and Operations, and built worldwide networks of highly capable affiliate partnerships, while crafting products and services that were locally and culturally relevant. When she isn’t working, you’ll likely find her in her camper, with her family, exploring new ground in search of new adventures.
Dan leads Mandel’s global sales organization, providing leadership, direction, and an executive vision to ensure we are delighting our customers and delivering on our promise of being the world’s leading communication skills company.
With an extensive background as a sales leader and sales professional, Dan brings strong business acumen and creative energy to high-performing teams. Working collaboratively across sales, marketing, solution development, and training delivery, Dan is responsible for leading the sales team in its pursuit to create world-class solutions that drive measureable business results for our clients.
Dan has over 20 years of experience consulting with global organizations on talent development; he’s consulted with the world’s leading companies, including: AppDynamics, BMC, Cisco, Fidelity, HPE, HP Inc., Intel, Pacific Life, Symantec and VMWare.
Brad has designed and implemented winning communication, training, and coaching solutions for a diverse cross-section of Mandel’s global clients, from start-ups to top names in the Fortune 50. He is the prime creator of the proprietary models and processes now found in Mandel’s powerful suite of communication content-planning tools, including the Mandel Blueprint®. Brad is a result getting consultant, an insightful coach, and a dynamic, engaging speaker, with a rare level of business acumen based on his prior leadership roles with three market-leading companies: The Walt Disney Company, The Clorox Company, and Armor All Products.
Kelly is Vice President, Global Training Services for Mandel. She is responsible for developing Mandel’s global team of coaches and trainers, as well as working with clients to certify their own internal trainers. Kelly joined Mandel as a Trainer and Coach in 2006, though she first started delivering Mandel’s training in 2001 while working as National Training Manager for AT&T Wireless. Kelly brings a unique combination of technical sales, sales management, channel management, and training experience to her role. Devoted to her clients, she relentlessly pursues ways to improve upon their success. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oklahoma. Having enjoyed travels throughout the USA, UK, and Europe to work with clients, she currently resides in Houston, Texas.
Bob Sherwin is the Corporate Development Officer for Mandel Communications. He is responsible for corporate and financial strategy, new business channels and partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, and business process re-engineering. Bob has spent more than 30 years as an executive, leader, coach, and mentor in some of the world’s largest and most successful training and development companies. Prior to joining Mandel, he spent 11 years as the Chief Operating Officer of Zenger Folkman. He is a co-author of the best-selling McGraw-Hill book, How to Be Exceptional: Drive Leadership Success by Magnifying Your Strengths, and his articles have appeared in such publications as Forbes, Training Magazine, Chief Learning Officer, and Business Insider. Bob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the United States Military Academy and an MBA in finance and accounting from the University of Michigan.
As Vice President, Global Channel Development, Chris is squarely focused on identifying and cultivating new business channels and strategic partnerships at Mandel. He brings more than 15 years of experience in creating and developing strategic partnerships, including channel program management, partner recruitment, development and management.
Chris spent the first few years of his career in the software industry, with a primary focus on channel operations and alliance management. He then completed an MBA at the University of Utah with an emphasis in marketing and international development. As a member of the marketing team at VitalSmarts, Chris created and implemented channel marketing programs that led to extensive growth in existing clients and through domestic in international licensees. Later, as head of global channels at Zenger Folkman, he built the organizations’ global distribution business, leading to a network of strategic partnerships operating in more than in more than 30 countries and training delivered in a dozen languages.
His extensive experience as a leader in the training and consulting industry, along with his passion and expertise for identifying and building profitable partnerships make Chris a critical member of the Mandel executive team.
Heather directs Mandel’s marketing, branding and communications strategies, in collaboration with the Executive Team. In addition, Heather leads Mandel’s public and industry relations activities. Prior to joining Mandel in 2010, Heather held several marketing and communications roles within the learning and training industry and is an active member of the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD); Training Industry, Inc.; eLearningGuild; and the Association of Briefing Program Managers (ABPM). Heather holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Davis, and has completed graduate courses in business and entrepreneurship at the University of Washington.
Shelley leads the team in managing the customer experience, supporting account executives in delivering the highest level of service as trusted advisors to Mandel clients. She also helps to facilitate the design and delivery of customized consulting and training solutions. Previously, Shelley supported house accounts for high-stakes custom projects. Prior to joining Mandel Communications in 2010, Shelley worked in the training industry for 19 years. Shelley is a member of Mandel’s Strategic Planning Team.
Naomi directs the mission-critical tasks and logistics of scheduling globally deployed trainers and coaches for client engagements worldwide. She also manages the onboarding of new Mandel trainers and supports the on-going training and development of Mandel's trainer and coach cadre. Naomi is a member of Mandel’s Strategic Planning Team.
Kathleen currently serves as an advisor to the Mandel Leadership Team, consulting on training services and special projects related to marketing and solution design.
In her previous role as Vice President, Global Training Services, she was responsible for identifying, developing, and supporting Mandel’s team of trainers and coaches around the world.
Kathleen developed and deployed Mandel’s world-class trainer certification process, both for the internal team and for client trainers around the globe. She played a significant role in the design and implementation of Mandel’s highly successful virtual solutions.
Kathleen has been an active member of the Association of Briefing Program Managers, and a frequent speaker at client and industry events. Her passion and purpose is to inspire confidence in emerging leaders by providing them with the skills they need to clearly communicate, influence, and collaborate with colleagues and clients across the globe.
Kathleen enjoys traveling with her husband to exotic locations and spending time with the adorables.
